Recognizing potential risks and negative developments for the company at an early stage is one of the core tasks of "good" corporate management and is also required due to the legal requirements regarding the duty of care of proper management. However, our experience shows that although company management deals with the entrepreneurial risks, systematic risk management often does not take place.
In our view, however, companies can gain a decisive competitive advantage if they use structured risk management to systematically record, assess and monitor their risks and define and follow up on appropriate countermeasures. Intelligent and forward-looking risk management provides management with valuable information at every stage and is an effective tool for corporate management. This becomes particularly relevant in times of crisis, as is currently becoming clear in the Corona crisis. As can be seen, companies that have already implemented processes for monitoring and managing risks are able to act more quickly and can initiate the necessary measures in a targeted manner. This is not just about securing existence and minimizing risks. Rather, the consistent application of the principles of a functioning risk management system also enables the company to recognize, assess and exploit opportunities that arise in every situation. In addition, the awareness of individual employees to deal with risks is promoted and the sense of responsibility in the company as a whole is increased.
We have supported companies of all sizes in implementing an appropriate risk management system. Please contact us and we will analyze together how we can provide you with the right support.
